Welcoming Speech

On behalf of all employees of the Yemen Petroleum Company Branch in Sa’ada, we welcome our reader who shares their concern with us for information about the company of which we are a branch, and it is our pleasure to present our appreciation to the leader of the information revival and the supporter of this trend His Excellency Ali Abdullah Saleh, President of the Republic, may God keep him, and those who participated in the construction of this electronic site for the company, especially The Executive General Director Mr. Omar Al-Arhabi, who gave his personal efforts toward defining the service role of the company through the readable and visible tools (electronically).

We expect this electronic site to add to the electronic government sites a present economic effort for the situation of enterprises in this country.

Finally, we welcome you to this admirable electronic edifice, through which we will would give you a moderate historical breviary about the YPC branch in Sa’ada Governorate.

Historical brief about Branch Construction:

The beginning of the branch foundation was in July 7, 1990. It was a moderate constructive beginning, just to send a number of employees from the Head Office, rent an administration building, hire a number of employees from the governorate locals on a daily basis at that time, and with this moderate structure, the branch started its service role in the governorate.

Branch Development Stages:

The branch developed from the administrative and marketing points of view through the increase of both employee volume and marketing activities (of gas and petroleum products). The branch had followed up the construction of a station to supply the need of the governorate for this material and it also built a Hanger to store the lubricant of different types and provide tankers to distribute market gas and oils. The gas marketing continued until the year 2000 when the Ministry of Petroleum decision was issued a decree to submit the gas activity to the Gas Company.

Branch Functions:

The branch functions are focused on the supply of oil derivatives through their transportation from the source of filling, and their distribution to all governorate regions. The branch was able to bring petroleum products to many rough regions inside the governorate, in addition to marketing different types of oils.
